Seaford Head celebrates oustanding results for its first year 13 students and its best ever GCSE results. strong>
After being identified as one of the country's top 100 state schools in its performance in 2015, this year's cohort took achievement to even greater heights. With 77% of students securing 5 A* - C grades and 75% achieving these top grades in English and Maths. 100% of students who took triple sciences secured an A* - C grade in all three sciences; with 90% of students securing grades of A* - B.
These results highlight the hard work and determination shown by students and the outstanding support they received from committed staff.
All the students played their part towards these outstanding results with Kieran Edmonds, Tawny Barden, Llewellyn Deeprose-Morrison and Calvin Liu contributing 44 A*/A grades between them. The school is extremely proud of all its students and is looking forward to even greater successes when they embark on their A level courses.
National recognition for Seaford Head SchoolSeaford Head School is delighted to have received a letter from Nick Gibb MP, Minister of State for Schools. The letter offered congratulations for the school’s excellent improvement in GCSE and equivalent results between 2013 and 2015. The school has been recognised for ‘being in the top 100 non-selective state-funded schools in England showing the greatest sustained improvement in the percentage of pupils achieving five of more A*-C grades, including English and mathematics GCSEs.’Acting Headteacher Mrs Helen Key ‘This is a wonderful recognition for the school.
